Nuon is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Technical Solar Account Manager NL within Business Unit Solar & Batteries.

In the newly established business unit Solar & Batteries we are growing a new business line for Nuon/Vattenfall, offering solar products and services to B2B customers in NL and Europe. Nuon/ Vattenfall has the ambition to become a strong partner for industrial and business customers interested in solar solutions. The Technical Solar Account Manager NL is responsible for consulting large customers on the installation of solar systems, incl. technical site visits, commercial contract negotiations and maintaining good customer relations in the long-term.

As a Solar Account Manager you scout and develop solar leads, technically and commercially. You visit customer sites to confirm building, roof and grid connection suitability and align with the engineering team on the appropriate technical solution. You prepare commercial offers to the customers, support the SDE application process and successfully sign contracts. You also help to improve customer-oriented products and work in close cooperation with the local sales organization, the engineering and the construction team to continuously improve our processes. This role will focus a big part on expanding the roof rent portfolio of Vattenfall.

Your responsibilities as Technical Solar Account Manager NL

  • * Account management of commercial and industrial solar customers
  • * Explaining product options and preparing initial solar system designs and customer offers 
  • * Technical site visits to verify suitability of site, roof and grid connection
  • * Guiding the customer through the process, from first contact till signing the contract 
  • * Planning and attending customer meetings, reliable documentation and CRM maintenance

Your qualifications as Technical Solar Account Manager NL

Candidates will bring at least 3 years of experience in the solar industry and / or a proven track record in deal making with large customers. In addition, you need to have:

  • * BS/MS in engineering, energy systems or equivalent area
  • * 1-3 years general sales experience of technical products to large customers
  • * Minimal 3 years of experience in PV development
  • * Positive attitude, strong communication and negotiation skills
  • * Be at home in a multi stakeholder environment, and a strong willingness to cooperate
  • * Fluent Dutch speaking 
  • * Valid NL driving license
