Your role
As Sales Manager you are responsible for the further roll-out of the company’s proposition developers and retailers of solar products in the Netherlands (70%) and Western Europe. It is your challenge to obtain, retain and build a network of Authorized Dealers. You use your extensive network and knowledge and expertise of the (solar) energy and installation market. You are working directly with the leadership team and responsible for a small team of Sales Engineers and Account Managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet personal Sales targets
  • Recruit, direct, motivate and develop staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team
  • With assistance from Leadership team, create and implement strategic sales and marketing plans that successfully achieve business objectives. Including definition of goals and milestones
  • Set strategic priorities on initiatives designed to improve the client experience
  • Seek out major clients and form working relationships with the premier buyers

Your profile

  • Experience in a comparable sales role in the sale of technical products to distributors or dealers
  • Experience in the solar PV sector is a must with a large network of relevant companies
  • Experience managing sales teams
  • HBO / WO work and thinking level
  • Good control of MS Excel and experience with CRM applications to manage your sales funnel
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of the German and / or French language is an advantage
  • Prepared to travel regularly within Western Europe
